An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

It Isn’t Right

(Proverbs 14:12 KJV)  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

If you leave out the words that are not in the Hebrew the first phrase becomes “There is a way right to a man,”  It doesn’t just “seem” that way, it is that way.  We have natural, inner directions that lead only to destruction and “death” (4194).  This is expressed in a multitude of ways in the Bible.  One of them is,
(1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV)  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
There are spiritual truths that we reject because our natural being is trapped in physical limitations, time and sin.

Jesus can change that.  When we are cleansed by the blood of Christ and led by the Holy Spirit we no longer are limited by sin.  When we read the written word we have clues that take us beyond time.  Eventually the limitations of our current bodies will be done away.

So?  If it doesn’t make sense, you could be right.  Our destiny is not limited to what is around us or what we can understand on our own.  Take the big step and begin to seek the things that are right with the Lord.  It will make your day and your eternity.
