(Pro 10:20 KJV) The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
I am not sure what makes “silver” (3701) “choice” (977). I am not into jewelry so this kind of statement does not inspire me. I am aware that sterling silver tends to tarnish and that older generations are impressed with it. This would have gotten my attention more if it said, “bullion silver coins”. That I understand.
Bullion coins have an established value because they are almost pure silver. They have a face value which in this day and age is much lower than their intrinsic value. I guess this is reminding us that saints speech is of great value.
So? Be careful but be “righteous” (6662). Keep your value.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
