An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Pick Your Pole

(Pro 10:18 KJV)  He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

Consider cause and effect.  What causes what?  One way to approach this is to say that the actions being taken here are the things that make you a “fool” (3684).  Another way is to say that the ways you can identify a fool are by observing these actions.  It is probably one of those both/and situations or one of the cycles of life that make things worse or better.

So?  A fool and a wise man are opposite poles.  Keep in mind the things that lead us to wisdom such as fear of the Lord and make sure you are at the right junction.
