An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Coming to Terms

(Pro 11:1 KJV)  A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

If you or your children are involved in public education you have been taught the evils of capitalism.  I am sure that there are evil capitalists but the economic philosophy is neutral.  The list of evil socialists would make the business men look like a freckle on a frog.  The problem is in the hearts of the social and economic guru.  The call here is for a part of the Biblical concept of justice that is left out of modern definitions.  Give a penny’s worth of service for a penny’s worth of purchase.  It is called under different names such as honesty, fairness, and modern terms such as transparency.  It is the bedrock of how we treat each other.  It is part of the Godly life.

So?  Maybe an even better terms is integrity.  Live that way.  Bring glory to God and yourself to eternity.
