An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Expect the Inevitable

(Pro 27:3 KJV)  A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both.

What is it that makes this “wrath” (provocation NASB) (3708a) so hard to deal with?  Is it a problem in us?  Is it the persistence of the fool?  Is it something that no one can control?  Is it a natural response?  Perhaps it is the misused creativity.

One thing is sure.  There are certain people who like to push your buttons.  On a rock you might stub your toe if you are not paying attention.  A fool waits and watches.

So?  Expect it.  Many times it is the same fool as last time.  Although you need to make sure that all your candy bars are locked up out of sight you still need to learn to express agape.
