An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Target Practice

(Proverbs 9:15 KJV)  To call passengers who go right on their ways:

It isn’t a pleasant thought but you need to view yourself as having a target on your back.  The people of the world who are represented by this woman are not looking for those who are already in the gutter.  They are looking for someone to drag down.  It is part of the mentality.  Graffiti “artists” don’t want a dirty wall.  Only the pristine need apply.  Kids who write on the desk don’t want a dirty one to work on.  Satan doesn’t spend his time making the fallen even lower, he already has them.

So yes, if you are trying to walk in righteousness, you are a target.  Keep in mind that pagans desire virgins to sacrifice.  They want the clean and unspoiled.

So?  Remember, just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean they are not out to get you.
