An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Live in the Real World

(Proverbs 29:27 KJV)  An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

So many believers have a hard time with the term “wicked” (7563).  We are so used to being nice that we refuse to be real.  By following the parallels in this verse we see that one of the characteristics of the wicked is being “unjust” (5766).  This is not the modern concept of “social” justice, a modern perversion of Biblical justice, but a person making decisions based on unrighteousness.

We need to understand that the “wicked” are not our friends.  Ultimately they will turn on us, vote against us, undermine us and even attack us.

So?  First, admit the reality.  Second, walk in faith.  God will see you through.
