Proverbs 8:35 (KJV) For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
The thing being found here is wisdom. You could interpret this to mean that wisdom will allow you to experience the best of life. It would bring completeness and make you sensitive to the good things. That is certainly part of it.
I think the inference goes a bit deeper. The result of wisdom is a love that reflects the “favor” of the Lord. I am looking at that as the blessing of being born again and attaining the assurance of eternal life. I think this infers that genuine wisdom will lead us toward the Lord. False wisdom will help us win game shows.
So? Go for the gold. Embrace the foundations that God has laid out for us.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
