An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Counter Culture

Psalm 119:63 (KJV) I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

(Proverbs 10 also read)

This is a good reminder of what we should look for in others and demonstrate in ourselves.  In a time of divisive politics that sort us by superficial characteristics, we need to remember that what we believe and whom we obey should define whom we consider brothers.

God’s people are not divided by physical traits or social declarations.  We are either part of the body of Christ or we are not.  Our brothers are people who fear God and act like it.

So?  I may not like the spices in your food but I embrace the savor of your soul.
