Psalm 96:10 (NASB95) Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.”
(Proverbs 16 also read)
I quote this in the NASB because of the modern assumptions that often go into our reading and thinking. When modern, brainwashed Americans hear the word “equity” they tend to to think in the terms of the modern PC crowd. To them this is a verse that can be used to support “social justice”.
Not so fast, Sherlock.
The NASB has a footnote telling you this has the idea of judging with “uprightness.” The KJV uses “righteously.” The thought is that God will judge according to His holy nature, not according to what we think of as fairness.
So? Be careful of any thinking that puts God in a position where He is here to serve us. When He judges us it will be according to His will, not ours.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
