An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Again

Proverbs 12:5 (KJV) The thoughts of the righteous are  right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

In this chapter I counted a form of the word “righteous” nine times.  Again that does not include the synonyms.  If it is impossible to live a righteous life then there are a lot of empty verses in this chapter.

It might be beneficial to read down, isolate the references to righteousness and ask yourself how that could be applied in your life.  God is involved with His people.  We have eternal promises but there are also consequences of how we act in our lives today.

So?  Seek to live an upright life.  It is not a matter of eternity.  Jesus took care of that but He wants to be reflected in your life today.
