An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Look No Farther

Are you looking for an understatement?  Look no further,

Psalm 92:5 (KJV) O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

(Proverbs 13 also read)

God’s thoughts are deep.  Yes, I would say so.  That is not the profound part of this.  What touches my heart today is that God is willing to lower Himself enough to be receptive to my feeble words.  My grandson was over and when he gets going it is impossible to understand him.  There have never been times when I wished for the gift of tongues but I have yearned for the gift of ears.

God does not have that problem and that is another reason to rejoice.

So?  Speak to Him freely from your heart.  Try to express yourself for your benefit but rest in the assurance that He understands beyond what we can ask or think.
