An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Walk Tall

(1Sa 2:9 KJV)  He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

(Proverbs 24 also read)

This is a reminder we need.  Hannah is praying and giving praise to God.  She has gone through a long list of specifics and here she gives a general statement about the providence of God, grace, if you will.

We have hope.  We have a future.  We have victory.  It is not based on our “strength” (3581).  It is based on the God we serve.  It is a similar story with our eternal salvation.  It does not depend on our might but on the power of God.

So?  Walk tall.  Speak with confidence.  God is still in charge.  He has been through this before even if it is our first time.
