An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Yes, Another Decision

(Pro 14:8 KJV)  The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

Do you really want to “understand” (995)?  We often say we do but the problem is not ability.  The problem is desire.  It is so much easier to just drift.  I was recently praying for the children of friends and one of the thoughts that came to my mind was how so many people today want to be comfortable and think that will happen if they keep their heads down and stay off the radar.  I am sure there is a time for that.  I am aware I cannot know what is going on in their hearts and minds.  I also know how the human heart works.

God seems to tell us He will direct our paths.  The problem is being willing to listen.  I am sure you have had people ask you for advice and then they ignore everything you told them.  I guess they don’t want to listen.

So?  As so often happens, the ball is in our court.
