An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

A Time for Hate

(Pro 13:5 KJV)  A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

Again we see the Bible condemning lies.  It is so easy to rationalize stretching the truth.  We are surrounded by deception and a culture that is moving toward evil.  We keep seeing the boundaries of righteousness pushed back and mocked.  Think of the perversions being pushed in schools and entertainment.  Who would have thought?

I guess we should be thinking.  We should be watching.  We should be holding truth up as a measuring stick and proclaiming it with out last breath.

So?  We need to move beyond being uncomfortable.  We need to stop being silent.  When we see something that is not right we need to speak the truth by speaking.
