An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Survey Says

(Pro 23:10 KJV)  Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:

This is a verse that I have a hard time relating to.  Who would do such a thing today?  Well, I listened to someone this week who talked about how you could move the stakes put down by surveyors and increase the size of your property.  The speaker acting like a guru on the internet was saying you could get away with it.  I have my doubts but it is amazing what people will try.

So?  The creative reach of people trying to game the system is impressive.  They may not think of anything really new but they come up with things long forgotten.  On the other hand the people that come up with these schemes know that what they are doing is illegal and immoral.  We need to remember that God knows our hearts a lot better than our neighbors do and His response has eternal consequences.
