An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

A Ray of Hope

(Pro 8:5)  O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Usually when Proverbs talks about these personality types it is with a shaking of the head and no real hope.  Here there is a different implication.  We have a ray of hope.  This seems to be saying that the empty headed fools of our lives can actually do something about it.  The problem is that there is no pill or magic spell that brings about the transformation.  It seems obvious that they need to want it enough to put in the effort.

So?  Don’t give up on the fools in your life.  They do need to change.  That is the bad news.  The good news is that it can happen.
