An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Live Your Priorities

(Pro 11:28) He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

Most people would admit that we are in a time of crisis.  That is true politically, spiritually and economically.  We are being faced with choices every day.  What we need to establish right now is the principles and priorities that are going to guide our decisions.  We need to adjust our focus so that certain truths come through clearly.

The priority in our lives needs to be righteousness.  We need to be concerned first with living lives that bring glory to God.  I am sure that you have a supply of Bible verses that you can call on or that pop up on their own.  One that should come to mind at this time is,

(Mat 6:33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
So?  Money is necessary in modern living.  We are not in a barter economy.  Even if we were the principle would still be in place.  It is more important that you make an honest trade than how many onions you can get for your potatoes.  Priorities.  Principles.  Not just for listing but for living.
