Proverbs 24:8 (KJV) He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.
As I continue to cycle through Proverbs and Psalms I keep seeing that there are different types of people and personality types. I think we would all agree. The question I have is in the area of choice.
The words used to describe the person in this verse, “mischievous” and “schemer” don’t in themselves carry a moral character. That is in the first part. This evil person is using his natural ability to plot things that are against God. He could have just as easily pushed the other direction.
So? Which way do you intend to go? I don’t think God will be impressed by you quoting your sociology professor about how society made you do it.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
