An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

 Beyond Us

(Deu 29:29 KJV)  The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

(Proverbs 22 also read)

Have you ever found yourself asking God “Why?”  I know I have.  There are times when an answer will come to me and other times that I get no satisfaction.  Some of God’s truth is “secret” (5641).  Face it.  Accept it.  We do not know and may never know.

I think a lot of that will be worked out in eternity.  I am not sure we will ever grasp the mystery of the Trinity but we may figure out how God created by speaking.  The nature of some of these secrets are such that the joy will in eternally pursuing the understanding.  Also part of the joy will be that the secret always stays just out of our reach.  That will give us the anticipation of further learning.  It will also reassure us of the nature of God as opposed to the nature of man.

So?  Keep asking.  Keep seeking.  Enjoy the process but remember that you are not God.
