An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

You Need Vitamin C

(Pro 4:7 KJV)  Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Make a note:  Wisdom is a good thing.  That is assumed in the entire book of Proverbs.  In fact, it is assumed through the entire Bible.  Most people would accept the statement even if their definition of wisdom is different than God’s.

Wisdom doesn’t just happen.  It isn’t an accident.  It isn’t in your DNA.  It will not force itself on you.  You can’t force it on other people.

Wisdom can be, and must be, sought.

So?  I sometimes think wisdom is like vitamin C, you can’t store it up.  It requires a constant influx or it ceases to be of any use.  I could be wrong.  You can bet on it but I won’t.
