An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Perfect(ing) Wisdom

(Pro 9:1 KJV)  Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

Wisdom builds.  The tense used as “has built” (1129) makes it seem like it is a done deal but when you look at the definition it has the idea of a work in progress.  This could be the idea of building to last.  It has the promise that we can be established but having been established we can continue to expect improvement and progress.

Wisdom is not a one time event.  Wisdom is a life process.  That fits in well with the Biblical idea that salvation is a walk, a way, not an arrival.

So?  Get on board.  Put down your foundations.  Begin an eternity of perfection.
