An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Spiritual Spore

(Proverbs 12:26 KJV)  The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

We are in a position to influence people around us.  Accept it.  You do.  It is possible to be neutral only for short periods and even then it is our imagination, not reality.  Many times neither party is aware of the influence but it is still tilting the balance.  I have never used a balance beam scale outside of a science class.  I use a digital scale.  I weigh just about everything I eat.  Even when making coffee I will weigh it out to the nearest gram.  It doesn’t take much to change the number on the screen.  It doesn’t take much to change the flavor of the coffee.  It doesn’t take much to change the life of the person behind you in line.

So?  Do you pick your vegetables like a Christian?  Do you dispose of your trash like a Christian?  Do you walk your dog like a Christian?  You leave an influence.
