An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Be a Street Light

(Proverbs 4:18 KJV)  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

What kind of person would you consider yourself?  What kind of influence do you have?  This verse tells us that it makes a difference.  If you are “just” (righteous NASB) (6662) it shows.  You know this because you see it in others.

If you had an emergency and had to leave your children with someone for a time you would reject some prospects and feel comfortable with others.  If you were going to be out of town you would feel comfortable leaving a key with some people, not with others.  You would loan your car to some people without a worry.  You see what kind of “path” (734) they walk.

So?  What kind of trail to you leave behind you?  I guess it depends on what road map you are following.
