(Proverbs 1:15 KJV) My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
You have choices to make today. Some have no consequences. What kind of bread do I want for breakfast? Do I want light roast, dark roast or the flavored coffee offered? Others are super obvious. Do I turn right to get to work? Others are a bit more difficult because we are surrounded by others and influenced by them. Should I answer my cell phone on the freeway? Should I race to cut off that other car? Should I wear this piece of clothing that makes me look sexy?
Now I am meddling. Take our clothing as an example of choice. What are the standards by which we make our purchases? What are the desired effects we want to create today? Do I want a power tie? Do I want to show cleavage? Am I confused over which question applies to me?
So? You need to know if you are serving a holy God or a hedonistic culture. You need to know if your desire is to “walk in the way” of the saint or the secularist. Choices, choices.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
