(Pro 31:16 KJV) She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
Time to meddle. It is sad when a clear statement of scripture might be considered meddling. Notice again that this verse has the perfect wife out buying a field and planting a vineyard. She is involved in business and enriching her family. This is not regarded as out of order or unfeminine. We should take a lesson from this.
One of the things that history tells us is that women had a higher status in Jewish culture than any of the pagans around them. This is not that one woman in a million who rises to become head of state. This is not Cleopatra or Eleanor of Aquitaine. This is the woman sitting in front of you in the pew.
So? For us, children determined that my wife would stay home. We made sacrifices to make that happen. In your home you might make different decisions. Accept me and I will seek to accept you. Put Jesus in the middle and consult Him for all decisions and priorities.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
