An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Saving Sodom

(Pro 21:1 KJV)  The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

This is a reminder that we need.  As much as it is important at all times, it is extra significant today.  I don’t know about you but I look at our political leadership and shudder.  Not only is there a lack of competence but there is a definite support of evil.  I am not talking about whether they agree with me on deficit spending or green energy.  I am talking about pushing an agenda that encourages abortion, racism, paganism and the list goes on.

The reminder that we need is God’s ability to deal with the “heart” (3820) of the president.  Always remember that God could work through Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar.  They may not have been men after God’s own heart but He could direct them anyway.

So?  We need to keep praying for our leadership and assuming that God can, and will, move.  It is possible that He is watching us to see if we are serious.  Remember how few it would have taken to save Sodom.

I have been listening to the Chronicles of Narnia on my phone at work. Eustace Scrubbs parents have taken over the world.

Be careful. The Thought Police probably know what you are listing to.
