(Pro 24:33 KJV) Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
Today this speaks to me, not in a still small voice but with thunder. I am retired. I am getting old. I really enjoy my afternoon nap. At first I read this and feel guilty. I get over it when I realize I am retired and old. Naps can be a part of a healthy afternoon. What thunders at me is the extra time when I sit and drift off when I know there are things I should be doing. Confession time. I hope that confession will be a motivator.
So? I need to make my naps like the old commercial line, “But you can’t take just one.”

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
