An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Smoking Equations

(Pro 8:26 KJV) While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

How would you have described the physics of creation to an iron age population?  For that matter how would you describe it to our modern minds?  I think in either case it would be pointless to try to get into an accurate description of sub-atomic physics and probability in quantum calculations.  Keep in mind that most people can’t do fractions and percentages.  That leaves poetic license to get across the basic truth.

So?  The basic truth is that unchanging wisdom has been around longer than you can imagine.  Along with that, God is in control.  Does it mean that we don’t keep up the search for answers?  No.  It means we don’t get stressed out about the search.  Put that in your equation and smoke it.
