An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

More True Than Ever

(Pro 31:10 KJV) Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

If you look at this as an observation of the women available for marriage then it appears to be more applicable today than ever.  My son is still looking and I would agree with him that there are not many good prospects.  The main reason is that today’s women have been so brainwashed by their public school educations and by culturally appropriate sermons that they have rejected the Biblical model of womanhood.

We need to understand this is another issue that cuts both ways.  The number of men who are willing to be godly husbands and fathers is also relatively small.  Sin is a lot of fun.  Responsibility is often a drag.

So?  Pray for the next generation.
