As I read this today the words of Jesus came to mind.
(John 14:27 KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.Peace is an illusive quality in our day and age. Understand that the peace Jesus is talking about is not the absence of war but an inner calm that is only possible when He rules in our hearts.
Solomon has a different approach. He is offering peace to the one who “hearkeneth” (listens NASB) (8085) to wisdom. Jesus offers an inner peace from the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit. Solomon offers the godly wisdom that makes us aware of the promise and how to apply it.
So? To steal a much overused advertising gimmick, “Got peace?” It is available. Read, think, pray, listen, relax.
