An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Surprise Righteousness

(Proverbs 12:10 KJV)  A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Righteousness effects every part of life, even the way we treat our animals.  Most of us don’t have draft animals any more.  All we have are pets.  This is not about animals, it is about living consistent lives.  We do not put certain parts of our lives in compartments and tell God not to go there.  We don’t adopt a different set of standards for one day of the week or one building.

Righteousness makes a difference in everything we do and touch.  Or at least it should.

So?  Don’t accept an attitude that keeps God out of anything you do.
