An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Which Feet?

Proverbs 6:16 (KJV) These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

First, notice that God is capable of hate.  Yes, God is love.  The Bible tells us that.  He is also capable of hate.  If you read the next few verses you will see that He is focused on certain actions.

What I want to point out is that those actions do not perform themselves.  The eyes, hands, mouth and feet are attached to a person.  The body parts are not what is being condemned.  It is the person they are attached to.

So?  Don’t think you will be able to hide behind excuses.  Each of us is responsible for what our body does.  Live in righteousness.
