An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

A Hand Full of Sand

(Eph 3:20 KJV)  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

(Proverbs 22 also read)

When it comes to God I can understand that I can’t understand.  Look at this verse.  He can do more than we can “ask” (154) for.  Even more, He begins at a level beyond what we can imagine.  That humbles us, or it should.  It is like seeing the beach stretching away for miles and picking up a hand full of sand.  We might be able to count the grains in our hand.  We can see it and weigh it but it does not even begin to tell us what is beyond the horizon.

So?  Be humbled.  At the same time be lifted up.  He has decided to work through us.  Have a blessed day of being a blessing.
