(Pro 4:15 KJV) Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
If there was ever a verse in the Bible crying out for context, this is it. One thing you can understand from these few words though is that we can make choices. Whatever this terrible thing is, we can choose to not be damaged by it. The converse would also seem to be true. Many of the problems we have in life are because of the choices we make. What reinforces this is that we do not serve a god of caprice. He is fixed in character as much as He is dynamic in His involvement in our lives.
So? We have the joy of a God we can trust and the challenge of having the opportunity to do our part.
Tangents and Vectors
An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.
