An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Sin-fool Behavior

(Proverbs 19:3 KJV)  The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.

This verse would seem to say that “foolishness” (200) could be assumed to be tied to our sinful nature.  It causes behavior and decisions that get us off the path that God has for us.  It pushes us away from God.

Could this mean that regeneration fixes the fool gene?  Regeneration is our term “born again”.  When the Holy Spirit does that work in our hearts and minds we are made new creatures.  The power of sin is broken.  That means that the power of “fool” is broken.

So don’t expect the world to understand you or agree with you.  When it happens, rejoice but be aware it is just a coincidence.
