An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Products of Good Philosophy

(Proverbs 4:22 KJV)  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

It makes a difference what our philosophy of life is.  You don’t have a philosophy of life?  Actually you do, even if you have not thought about it too much.  Everyone does.  What is the basis for your decisions?  What helps you set your priorities?  For some it is pleasure.  For some it is money.  This verse is written to people with a philosophy of life based on being a disciple of Jesus Christ.  Of course it was written before Jesus was born but the principles are the same.  Jesus is the source of wisdom and wisdom is here offered as the source of “life” (2425b).

So?  If you have been studying Proverbs it helped you “find” (4672) the answer that lead to life.  If you stumbled across this by accident them it might be worth your while to read through the book.  It is found in the Bible.
