An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

The Path of Treachery

(Proverbs 23:28 KJV)  She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.

Who is “she” (1931)?  If you look back a few verses you find reference to a loose woman.  It is amazing how our sex drive, created and bless by God, is constantly being used to lead us to be “faithless” (898).  The word means to act treacherously.  Sin is often the misuse of a good thing.

Think about how this has progressed.  Originally sexual perversion involved clothes.  Adam and Eve realized they were naked and tried to cover themselves.  From there mankind went to adultery and fornication.  The modern mind has been warped by pornography and we are approaching a time when  even those who claim to follow the teachings of the Bible are accepting homosexual behavior.

So?  I do not want the label of “faithless” laid on me.  It is not politically correct, but I will try to walk the straight and narrow.  I hope to see you there.
