An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Who’s Serve

(Pro 4:11 KJV) I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

This is Solomon speaking but it brings to my mind the question of God giving us direction.  It goes without saying that God is moving to bring everyone to salvation.  Well, maybe it needs to be said,
(2Pe 3:9 KJV) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
I hope that is clear enough for you.

Why does it not happen?  It would seem to me, as they say, “The ball is in your court.”  I believe that God moves to give everyone opportunity.  It usually does not start with someone presenting the Four Spiritual Laws.  It might be a decision to go right or left and you don’t see the connection with eternity but God does.

So?  God is giving us the direction we need to walk in righteousness.  We have another day to follow that guidance.
