An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Bringing on the Fall

(Proverbs 29:16 KJV)  When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

There is hope.  That is what I am seeing here today.  I am skimming the first statements.  I don’t need to be reminded of them.  I want to know the “but the righteous (6662)” part of things right now.

The evil will “fall” (4658) and I will see it.  Well, I guess it doesn’t guarantee that I personally will see it, but it does promise that someone in the family of God will see it.

The world around us needs revival.  It has happened before.  Why can’t it happen again?  The key is that the righteous need to be the righteous.  We need to be salt.  We need to be light.  Keep in mind that God would have preserved Sodom if there had just been a few righteous.

So?  Be upright, blameless and righteous.  Live as God would have you live.  Call on Him for strength and guidance.  Let’s make the fall happen.
