This brings to my mind the words of Jesus,
(Matthew 6:33 KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. There are two similar translations of the key verb. The NASB uses “pursues” (7291) and the KJV, “followeth.” The NASB only translates it as “follow” five times and the KJV uses “pursues” eighty times to nineteen. Both have the idea of following but one implies more active attention than the other.
Either way, it is clear our steps are to be on the path of righteousness. That assumes we want to achieve the goals expressed here: “Life” (2425b), “righteousness” (6666), and “honor” (3519b).
So? What are your goals. If you are a believer, consider that a rhetorical question. If you are not a believer would you like to see these things in your life? Pursue Jesus.
