Quiver as a Noun

(Psa 127:5 KJV)  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

(Proverbs 20 also read)

I read this verse the day after we had a house full of children.  True, they were not my children.  Two of them were my grandchildren.  The point is the same.  Children are a blessing.

Yes, they can be a burden.  Proverbs also contains awareness that much of the blessing depends on the type of children they are but the ones we had over were all home schooled and vitally involved in a church that supported home schooling as well as teaching the Bible.  What is the key to raising wonderful children?  I am still waiting to write my book but the first ingredient is living a life that demonstrates what you are trying to teach.

So?  Be aware that for Christians children are a precious resource not a burden that keeps you from living at the style in which you would like to become accustomed.
