An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Read with Gestalt

(Psa 108:1 KJV)  A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

(Proverbs 20 also read)

Keep in mind that one part of scripture can illuminate other verses.  One of the times that stands out in my mind is when Moses was talking to God and asking for a special privilege.

(Exo 33:18 KJV)  And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
Guy told him that was not going to happen.
(Exo 33:20 KJV)  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
This stood out to me because I saw the word in one place and it stirred in memory of another place. Other translations show in a bit of illumination.
Psalms 108:1 (CSB) My heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being.
God’s glory involves His whole being.

So? Read with your mind turned on. Look for understanding of one scripture to be given to you in another. What an adventure.
