An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Be the Gift the Keeps on Giving

(Pro 12:24 KJV)  The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

This is a good reminder.  We are to apply ourselves.  My desire is not to shore up my position of power or make myself look good.  It is more a desire to be a good steward of my time and ability.  I am so blessed.  I don’t want to fall into the trap of taking God for granted.

As I write I am old and getting older.  It is easy to fall into retirement mode and figure all you have to give has been given.  Don’t you believe it.  God is keeping you around because He has something else for you to do.

So?  Look around with the right attitude and I think you will find a contribution you can make.
