An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Too Many Words

(Pro 12:23 KJV)  A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.

I was informed recently that some people consider me a talker.  It was not offered as a compliment.  It surprised me.  I can talk when it is required.  I can click my inner switch from introvert to extrovert, lift my head, look people in the eye and initiate conversations.  I do it when I am out of the house but I would prefer to stay in the house and not talk to anyone.

Still, I look at it as a rumble strip warning me about what is ahead.  Everyone does not want to hear what I have to say.  The number of people out in the cold world who need to talk outnumbers those who listen.

So?  This is a good wake up call.  I have a fair amount of knowledge but I need to understand that usually, no one wants to hear it.  I will keep storing it up and not presume on the patience of others.
