An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Current Events

(Pro 24:23 KJV)  These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

It seems like I have reflected on this topic recently.  It would not surprise me for two reasons.  The first is that this theme is common in the Bible.  We are to be guided by truth and God’s standards, not by our feelings.

The second is that our culture is going crazy about giving people advantages based on superficial attributes from race to political party.  We need to keep reminding ourselves that God does not judge people on those qualities.  The political agenda behind such things as Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter have nothing to do with improving the lot of any group.  They are simply ways to try to brainwash our society away from the impartial standards of God.

So?  Be altert and do not show partiality.
