An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Change of Pace

I have been posting on this blog now for over 12 years.  I know I have posted late in the day a few times but I don’t think I have actually missed a day.  That means I have written about 144 times for each chapter of Proverbs.  It numbs my mind to think about it.

I plan to continue writing because this is a personal discipline for me.  My thoughts have certainly not gone viral but the discipline goes on.

I am going to change my approach a bit.  I will still be reading a chapter of Proverbs each day in my personal worship but in the future I will also be considering the other reading I do for the day or something that might come to my mind as I prepare for the day.

The Perpetual will continue but the Proverbs will at times be bypassed.

Blessings.
