An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

The Gift of Stability

(Pro 10:30 KJV)  The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

This chapter is a litany of differences between the “righteous” (6662) and the “wicked” (7563).  This verse speaks of stability.  I think we can admit that there will be trials and tribulations if we follow Jesus.  Those will ultimately be mild compared to what the evil will go through.

I wonder how much of the unstable lives that they live will be because they are so restless.  They are looking for something that is right in front of them but instead of embracing the saving message they move on.

So?  Be stable.  Be strong.  Be dependable.  It is all a part of the gift of God that comes to us with a clean heart.
