An Idea Borrowed

Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

A Fine Compliment

(Pro 20:11 KJV) Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

Have you ever heard, “He is a fine young man”?  Has it ever been said about you?  No?  I hope it was because you were a young woman.  It isn’t always true.  Sometimes it is assumed because the person knows our parents.  Sometimes it is an empty statement to ingratiate.  At times it is true.

It is true when the person speaking knows you well enough to have observed you in action.  He knows your values and priorities.  He has watched you under pressure.  He has seen the grace of God working in your life.

So?  We may not be young any more but the reality is we will always be judged by our actions.  I trust we will not be found wanting.
