(Proverbs 27:15 KJV) A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.
Notice it is not the “dripping” (1812) which is a problem but the “constant” (2956) dripping. This might be a pointer in our daily lives. Don’t overdo actions that irritate. We have all seen the person who does something and it is funny. Everyone laughs; the first time. After the action has been repeated it becomes inflamed and infected, no longer funny, past irritating. It makes me pause for a moment and wonder what I do that gets on people’s nerves.
I have known for a long time that certain people don’t seem to have much sense of humor. In reality that means that they don’t have the same sense of the absurd that I have. I have learned not to joke around some people. The same sensitivity might help in how I drive a car, dry the dishes, hang my clothes and untold numbers of other activities.
So? I need to work on being less irritating. Sometimes I can’t do much because it is the problem of the other person but that can also just be an excuse.

An Idea Borrowed
Years ago on a radio program someone shared that they read a chapter in Proverbs every day. Since there are 31 chapters and the longest month has 31 days it allows you to read through Proverbs on a regular basis. I use it as the launch pad for my personal worship time and branch out from there. On this blog I will try to share some of the insights I have in the Word. I will try to organize them in the archive by reference.

Can I share that with my wife?
